Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)

Do you need TPMS sensors?
(in accordance with the new EU Regulation 661/2009)

For the vehicle you have selected, it may be possible, based on the data available to us, that you need TPMS sensors (tyre pressure monitoring system).

How can you check this?

  1. The on-board computer of your vehicle displays, for example, the tyre pressure, the tyre temperature and other information.
  2. Simply ask at your workshop or your car dealership.
You can find further information here.

The dimensions and design of vehicle tyres must comply with the operating conditions, in particular the load and the maximum speed of the vehicle determined by its design. If agricultural or forestry motor vehicles and motor vehicles of the road maintenance service are fitted with tyres that only permit a lower maximum speed, they must be marked accordingly for this speed in accordance with § 58. When using M+S tyres (winter tyres), the requirement regarding speed is also deemed to be met if the maximum speed permitted for M+S tyres is below the maximum speed of the vehicle determined by its design, provided however that

1. the maximum speed permitted for M+S tyres is clearly indicated within the driver's field of vision,

2. the maximum speed permitted for M+S tyres is not exceeded in operation.

Tyres or other treads must not have any unevenness that could damage a solid road surface; iron tyres must have rounded edges. Studs must be recessed.
